RE: rear suspension help
Those are used to connect the rear of the leaf spring to the car. When you get under the car and look at the back part of the leaf spring (right around the rear bumper) it should be pretty obvious. Those were a PITA to take off of my car. If they are very old I suggest coating them in Liquid Wrench and let them sit for a while.

RE: rear suspension help
rear shackles
see pic (not a mustang, but works the same)
you realise that kit is supposed to lift the back of your car 1.5" ABOVE stock ride height?

RE: rear suspension help
ORIGINAL: UBY289
What is the stock height of the 67 ?
What is the stock height of the 67 ?
beacuse of the body shape, if the car is equal front and rear, it will actually look like it is sitting down about 1/2" or so at the rear when viewed on level ground from side on. kinda optical illusion.
+ 1.5" on the rear will give it quite a rake forward. 70's style...cool
