rear suspension help

Default rear suspension help

i got my suspsension today but i dotn knwo what to do with something this is the kit i got http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-68...QQcmdZViewItem

Those are used to connect the rear of the leaf spring to the car. When you get under the car and look at the back part of the leaf spring (right around the rear bumper) it should be pretty obvious. Those were a PITA to take off of my car. If they are very old I suggest coating them in Liquid Wrench and let them sit for a while.

rear shackles

see pic (not a mustang, but works the same)

you realise that kit is supposed to lift the back of your car 1.5" ABOVE stock ride height?

thx for the help i was confused because the setup was very simple and had a simple shackle on it, i was wondering why no one was responding then i remembered i wasnt getting my emails to my cell phone anymore

What is the stock height of the 67 ?
I'm pretty sure its 26" measured at the center of the wheel arch...same front and rear.
beacuse of the body shape, if the car is equal front and rear, it will actually look like it is sitting down about 1/2" or so at the rear when viewed on level ground from side on. kinda optical illusion.

+ 1.5" on the rear will give it quite a rake forward. 70's style...cool
