Default What have you found in your resto project?

My son and I started ripping apart our "K" code fastback and found this furry surprise. We noticed beind the left quarter trim panel when removing it that there was alot of pinestraw. Didn't think anything else about it until my sonremoved the right side and let out a screem that Jaime Lee Curtis would be jealous of, he took off running for the house and just about took the roll up door off the hinges. I couldn't figure out until I heard him let a scream again as he was entering the garageto the house about 50 ft away "POSSUMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!" I like to have died while laughing so hard. Hope you enjoyed this story. We have!!!

Also found a letter written by a enlisted fella to his sister, he was thanking her for sending him her rations so he could buy an extra pair of shoes. Bought the car from the second owner who bought it from a lady school teacher close to where I live. The car? 1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe, in a barn since 1963. The letter? Dated 1943 A great barn story!!

I found WMDs... you know, the ones the UN weapons inspectors found...

Seriously, I had a very large copperhead 'slither' out of an old truck once as I was about to get in... almost had to change pants. Luckily, only spiders in my old 'stang.

+1 on the snake. Found one in a 1963 Falcon which had been sitting in a farm field. The cars attract mice for shelter. The mice attract snakes. Yes, it was very much alive. The lesson learned...when you bring an old car home don't put it in the garage right away.

The more I poked at it, the more it hissed and got further up into the car. Finally pissed it off bad enough that it crawled out through the hole where the gas tank was at. Everytime I run across this picture I relive the whole thing over, it was so funny to see a my MACHO 15 year old son take off like that. The wild thing was that we brought the car home, messed around with that day. It sat in the shop untouched for at least 4 days until the weekend came. Then all HELL broke loose!!!!

Possoms are actually pretty timid creatures. My mother in law's toy poodle terrorized one in her back yard recently. If you find a raccoon in the car though, back off, that cute fuzzy little creature will rip your face off. They are fierce!
