Default 351 block

my auto teacher offered to sell me his 302 block (i think the engine code started with a D) it needs some work on it but he told me to give him an offer, what should i offer him?

I bought a good 351w block today for a 100 bucks, offer him 50if it needs work.

does the engine code start with d or the casting no? d is the 70s. 50 to 100 seems fair. see what he says. also is it just the bock or the rotating assembly?

its actually a 351. He decided to give it to me with the transmission. He also said that he would help me get it running.
