So in the middle of my restoration on my 1970 coupe, I plan on taking my car to washington when i graduate high school it has to get me around daily. so I'm selling my 91 audi that i don't drive anymore to fund for the rest of the restoration. the cars got a rebuilt i6 with a 3 speed trans. Im just wounderin what i should to make sure the car is in full working order befor i leave. i'm doing a full wiring kit and new paint.
my boss also offered me a grand for my mach one dash and high back seats i have in it but i dont think im going to take it.
what would you do in my position?

if it was me, id get my essentials working nicly. fuel delivery, ignition, water/radiator. tune the carbreal well, new plugs, and get the radiator pressure checked.then get my suspension/alignment put into good order. if all those are working well, i think youd be at your least risk of things going bad.
that three speed is a killer, but I dont think thats somthing that would be on the top of the list yet.

replace oil in engine, in trans and in diff.
bleed brakes or better replace brake fluid.
Check your brake pads and wheel cylinders.
get a greas gun and put the stuff _everywhere_ ;-)

Washington State or Washington DC. Altitude can make make a difference with how the car runs. If you are going to Washington state,it varies from sea level to 14,000 feet. If it's Washington DC, the car will probably get stolen anyway so don't worry about it. Seriously, when I was like 21 I moved from an area about 700 feet above sea level to an area above 5,000 feet (Denver). It made a difference in how the carburator was breathing. You might have to adjust the carb anyway once you get where you are going.
