Default C-4 Linkage questions

Hello I am a new member. I am rebuilding a 65 coupe(sheetmetal, motor, trans, 9" rear and everything else) and I had to modify the origininal kick down linkage to a later version with a bar that goes down to towards the trans and a kickdown cable. I am also having problems after putting in the motor to get the upper trans line to thread in and am woundering if there is supposed to be a adaptor threaded into the trans that the line threads into. Can't really see very well up in that area if the threads are the same size. I really would appreciate any pics or advice for thisquestion that has probably been asked a million times already but am desperate as I am just about to fire the motor up.

Default RE: C-4 Linkage questions

Motor fired right up and I was missing a brass adaptor to the trans line. Still cant fiqure out the kickdown linkage. The arm on the trans has a slot and the arm is at about 8 oclock(parallel with the groud)with a spring pulling it up towards the floor. It looks like I need a arm on the trans that is at 12 oclock( staight up) so that when I hit the accellerator it will pull the arm forward. Any help appreciated
