Hi, Could someone school me on the removal of the back seat on this 72 convertible .[/align]I am replacing the rug and quarter trim panels. Thank you very much .[/align]

I dont know about a 72 but on a 66 you push down and towards the back of the car on the part of the seat you sit on...the seat just pops out of a clip/holder..then look for a left and right screw to remove the part of the seat your back rest against...this part of the seat just hangs there on two hooks...lift up to remove...hope this helps Scott

Hey thanx for that ! I guess I just threw the trunk for those bolts holding the seat back up .

the bottom back seat is just a push in on the frnt of it and unhook it, then you will see some torx headed bolts on the floor for the top half.. unbolt and slide it up.

From all the mustang forums i seen this one has the best info on the 71-73 the rest only know 64-70 great.
