Depending on the year of your car, it is a cable not electrical. Might check your speedogear in the trans.

Hi harrisont.
don't think that's it.
the rally pac is a gauge that's made up of tach and clock. when you get one, most of the times the cables have been cut.
That's what a rally pac looks like for a 65 Mustang

When you say your speedo isn't working anymore, then this most certainly isnt' it.
as jlp66stang says it's most likely a cable (non-electric) that goes from gearbox to speedo. I cannot believe that this cable could snap, but you never know.

if the cable wasn't tightened properly it might just have fallen off. So check your gearbox if theres a hole and a cable not connected next to it. Check the back of your instrument cluster (climb head first where your feet are, look up to the middle of your gauge cluster). There's a thick cable going to the center of it. Is that connected properly ?

If that doesn't help, what year is your car ?

drifting? sounds fun.

before replacing the whole cable you might want to fix it or something. im pretty sure it would be a royal pain in the butt to replace...
