Mine starts up pretty good in the mornings. I have a manual choke so I just pull that out and she fires right up.

It needs a choke. With a choke mine fires instantly, even when it's 15 deg F outside.

Either mechanical or electrical. Does your carb have provisions for a choke? Or is there no choke tower?

Used to have this problem too [:@]. This is why i went with Fuel Injection . After sitting for4 months (over winter), I went out, changed my fluids primed the fuel pump and walla started first crank . Best investment I've ever made.
