i use an esab pcm1125 for all my cutting it's wonderful. for other things i use small cut off wheels though, also have some kind of mini reciprocating saw which is air powered and air powered sheet metal scissors.

Harbour Frieght has 3/8" spot weld cutters that are excellent. I just removed my upper cowl cutting about 120 spotwelds and it's still going strong. Cost $3.00

For cutting sheet metal, the shear is the best suitable metal cutting tool for it. Based on the side that is left to right or right to left we can choose different one.

I have an air compressor and a cut off tool but found the quickest way and ease for cutting out metal is using the Black and Decker 4.5 angle grinder with cut off discs.
The power if full and no need to wait for the compressor to kick on to build pressure.

The other air tool works good but this rips through like butter on the metal. :-)
