carburator help

Default carburator help

i have a 1406 edelbrock carburator i had it for like 8 months i took it off to rebuild it had all this white stuff build up on it and the inside i clean it off and let it dry over nite wiping it clean and in the morning it build rights up again im attaching a picture so you can see and let me know i you guys can help me out on it

hmm thats a wierd one, im just gonna throw this out there, maybe the aluminum is actually corroding, probably once there is gas introduced itll stop. maybe someone else here will hava better idea what it is.

I came by this on the net "gas water and oil turn white[/b] when mixed" I dont know how true it is. Nice tattoo btw

Looks like typical aluminum corrosion to me. Usually it's clear, but with the right texture it can look white. That, or its just risidual buildup from whatever you're cleaning with. I wouldn't worry about it

Not to worry. It will not hurt the performance of your engine. I rebuild 2100-4300 carbs and sell them on Eabay.

Maybe when you're done cleaning it soak that part in gas over night?

I cleaned it with simple green its been sitting for two days now is taking over the whole thing building on the outside also and hiwabout the gold pieces on the carb how can I shine them up
