Any Body Running New Ford Racing 342?

It's not the cam but the lack of flow through the ports for engines larger than 302. Like I said above, I think they work great on a N/A 5.0.When you go up in displacement you need more flow. That iswhat chokes theFord 342. If it flowed right the HP would be higher than the torque. Look at the flow charts for an X head, and compare it to an AFR or TW 165 and you'll see what I mean.

I have the 302 GT-40 crate motor also. Perhaps you have the E-cam Scott, but the B-cam motor I have pulls a bit better on the upper end and I haven't noticed it falling off early. Either way, I think the Ford Racing crate motors are pretty good buys for an all-new product built by the same union labor that built our cars.
Good luck!

Here's another crate engine to consider, T and L Engine Development - http://stores.ebay.com/T-L-Engine-De...QQftidZ2QQtZkm
Good Ebay feed back and some satisfied customers on the Cobra kit car forums.
Has anyone here heard of or dealt with them?
