Default headers for a 289

I have a 289 68 fastback and am ready for headers. I was thinking about the tri y but want some advise. Whats the best header? Are they worth it? Should I get ceramic coasted ones? Thanks for any help.

Default RE: headers for a 289

It depends on what you want, long tubes are best for power, but have ground clearance issues, especially with lowered cars. Ceramic are nice, and if you heat cycle them properly after install, last a long time. I'm running Hooker Super Comp long tubes, the plain ones so they get a nice mild rust coat and don't look great, but didn't cost much either.
