Default Labor charges for floorpan or frame rail replacement?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some ballpark figures as to how much laborshouldbe to replace the floorpan? How much for the frame rails? I assume, one could save some $$$ in labor ifthe interior was removed for the floorpans, but with the frame rails, that's a whole lot of work correct?

$45-$85 an hour for sheet metal work is typical and it's usually on the upside of those numbers.

Of course you can pay less.......

And yes, since most of this type of work is billed by the hour you can save money by doing as much of the prep yourself.

You should figure about 40-60 hours to do the floorplan. And depending on how bad it is, hidden damage is typical. This assumes that the interior is completely gutted. If you have this much damage, you may think about scrapping the car and buying a better one.
