Is there a doctor in the house?

If so, do you think it would be possible to inspect cowls by inserting an endoscope in the cowl vent in front of the windshield? For those who may not be familiar with this piece of equipment...

it say that would do the business if it's small enough to fit through the grille. at the same time you might need one with a light, or a 2nd flexible device with bulb attached to properly see.
You can go through the fresh vent hole as well (from below)

Most are too big to go into the grills. They will however go into the drain hole and the other one if the fender is removed or up thru the hat. I have some GI friends that promised me one. They should fit into the cylinders also. Anyway, they would be very handy for a lot of things. Arthroscopic surgery on your Stang, thats a new field. You can find them on E-Bay.

67 evil eleanor, you sound like a doctor? If so, my Mustang seems to be causing a severe hemmorage from my wallet. Any suggestions? Anyway, I may have access to an endoscope which is no longer fit for medical use but still works fine.

Notta, I was a NREMT Paramedic for about 20+ years. I since have left that field, as its a game for the young. Often we had to pull many hours in surgery. The scopewould be a very handy thing to have around. Now if you could fit an attachment to spraya rust inhibitorinto the effected areas, like insides frame rails, cowl vents under the dash-firewall area and so on.

As an RN in the OR you would need a scopethat has a smaller diameter much like a Bronch or lyringascope. Scopes used for Arthroscopic cases will not work. Essectually they are scopes about 5 inches long and they are solid, not pliable. Essentually they are a tube with small mirrors, the mirrors break if you bend the tube. The bronch and lyringascopes bend because they are fiberoptic lines in a rubber tube (like the pic shown in the OP). I hope that helps...
