So whats the difference between using the brush on seam sealer and a few coats of good BedLiner? I mean its just to keep water out of those hidden cracks and joints. BedLiner remains flexable after it dries and if properly donein layers it should last just as long as the sealer.
I'll be using the BedLiner to coat everything anyways however if I should still apply a seam sealer then its not an issue either. Figured I'd ask and see what you all thought. I know the differences between that crap home sealer and a good automotive sealer so yeah if I need to it'll be a good automotive sealer.

Same here. I used a pint to reseal the entire car. I used the 3M brushable seam sealer, and two tubes of 3M seam sealer in harder to reach areas. I had to buy another pint to finish up some areas but had 3/4 left over. It is worth it to buy a seam sealer designed and tested for these applications. The stuff from home depot or lowes is designed for home use, to fill gaps in trim or around windows. There are places to cut corners to save a few bucks, but seam sealer isn't that expensive not to buy a quality product like 3M. You are afterall, restoring a classic mustang. How broke are you???
