Default New Stang...

so here she is... 1964.5 Ford Mustang. REALLY good shape for the price I paid..couple small oil leaks...one surface on a rear panel, some faided paint, and needs new carpet...I would like to get your guys opinons on some prices for carpet, and a brand new paint job (sanded down, rust off, repaint, and a shinny gloss) I know that paint vairies from place to place. I am just kinda curious to get a rough Idea for paint and carpet. Any help would be great. Thank you

Very very nice. There was a huge thread recently on the cost of a paint job. I think it ended up between $2000 and $15,000. I would say $4,000 for sanding and paint (if the existing paint is original), but that will vary from one part of the country to another. C'mon, fess up on the price. We've all shared. If you paid what it was worth to you then you did not overpay.

Ha thanks everyone, yeah i'm really happy with it. I'm going to have to get some engine bay shots. but it is nice for the price I paid like I said, and you will never find out. No totally joking...I really couldn't tell you how much I paid. My grandpa picked it up for me when I was deployed Iraq. I bought it without seeing it. I guess I am a very trusting person. but I think he did just fine. I want to say I paid a low 6k for it...maybe a little more.

im wondering the same about paint and bodywork. im in the bay area so im assuming i could find a shop for a little cheaper than places with limited shops around.
