66 spedometer question

66 spedometer question

Is the speedometer diff on a 66 Gt than a regular coupe. I am bidding on one on ebay and the speedo goes up to 140. If there is a diff is it still useable?

My '66 originally had a 6 in it and the speedo goes to 140 (as if the car would have). I think they are all the same.

OK that is good to know....I will put a pony bezel on it and new lens. I am just wanting it cause all the guages work.
