All the more reason to love your mustang
Just today I was browsing this site. http://www.dieselstation.com/manufac...aper/ford.html Its a website that has a large collection of high res pics of the lastest and greatest in car inovation/design. Tons of upcoming concepts of the cars of the future... and man they are UGLY! Especialy the Ford SYNus Concept. [:'(]
Seeing stuff like this makes me think that the design thought process back in the 60`s were very different. Back then I think it was "lets make this car as sexy & exciting as possible". I think nowadays its, "lets make this car as weird and ugly as possible" thus turns into something exciting.
Its not all bad though. Some of the concepts look ok, like the 2008 bullitt mustang.

The SYNus looks like a smaller version of an armored truck for banks. I just picture a big "DJ" booth coming out the back and having a party wherever you go. I'm sure there is somebody out there who likes it, poor souls.

At best, most current styling trends can be described as "bulky", "massive", "aggressive", and "intimidation". Apparently the newer generations of stylists can't get away from being "in your face" about anything at all. Subtlety? What's that? Just make it visually noisy/belligerent and be done with it.

That Synus attack is horrid.
But I have to say I kinda liked that Bronco concept. It looks like a throwback, with a removeable top, taking some styling cues from the Benz G-class... I always think that someday I will have a G55 parked next to my Coupe. But if that Bronco ever hit the market, I might be able to afford 2 or 3 of them for the price of that fancy Gelandewagen.... Thanks for posting this link.
