Pertronix Coil ?

RE: Pertronix Coil ?
There is aresistor wire built into the ignition wire, from the key ignition to the coil. there happens to be a bullet connector where the two meet at the back of the ignition. use a T-connector to branch off switched 12V before theresistor wire. this way you can still run 9V to the coil, and a solid 12V switched to the pertronix distr module. Pertronix instructions saythe module needs 12V. Also, one common cause to pertronix failures,is leaving your ignition ON, without the motor running. I've been running mine for about 2yrs without a hitch.

do your self a faver and just tap the 12 volts before the resister and run the pertronix unit and the coil off a straight up 12 volt source,,, 7.5 to 12 volts ain't gonna cut it,, if in doubt go to their web site and see for your self end of disscusion
