installed new wire harnesses through out the car,...last one i am having issues with is the alternator harness,...

1, plugs into main harness coming from voltage regulator
2. one wire with red rubber boot goes to red alternator stud (batt)
3. one wire with white rubber boot goes to white alternator stud (?)
4. there is one black wire with red stripe ...does this get grounded to block?
5. there is one end with two wires, the black and red wire from above, and a black wire with yellow stripe, does this go on back of alternator?

this is driving me nuts and i am having problems reading the diagrams i have
