Are you looking for performance or do you just need it to run, and define "breaking the bank." If you just need heads period you could prolly find some laying around a junk yard, or in someone's garage even.

There's a few places online that sell rebuilt GT40p heads for like $600, but will require different headers. Those were basically the best factory SBF head Ford produced. Regular GT40's make about as much power, but they work with regular headers etc, though they're getting harder to find. Most any machine shop can rebuild heads, but in all honesty by the time you get into the cost of a head rebuild DONE RIGHT you're a lot of the way towards a good set of aftermarket aluminums. Dart still makes iron heads which are cheaper, so you could look into that. If you're gonna spend money on rebuilding heads, it's worth it to spend a little more and get some heads that will perform 5x better. If you're on a tight budget, the best bet would be to try to find a set of GT40's or some good used heads.
