planning ahead on 1969-70 mustang
its come to the point that i need to move on from my 66 coupe, namely because it wont handle my daily highwaycommute, so im planning a 69-70 restomod/boss build. Im trying to price it out see how much money its gunna cost and trying to track one down so i got a couple questions for the gents that own these years. firstly if anyone has the welding in irs packages like the one at www.totalcostinvolved.com id love to hear about it (how hard it was to install, proformance etc) and if anyone knows of rearend setup i should look into anything from irs to coil setups. Im lookin at running a built up 302 making around 350-360 hp to a t-5 and track lock 3.25 gears (8 or 9 not sure yet). And if anyone knows of a 69-70 shell/rolling chasis around seatle/vancouver send me an email or if you interested in my coupe lemme know.
cheers, kurtis

You may have trouble finding some odd smaller parts for the 69-70 years if you need them. I know they don't make repro 69 rear quarter extensions off the top of my head, and there were a few other small parts I looked for but couldn't find. I did see they started making the windshield washer nozzles in this years' catalogs though- they weren't available last year.
Anyway, just a bit of heads up on something to think about, be sure you know a good salvage yard to call for something should the need arise.

The 1969 Mustang fastback will be released this year as a Dynacorn rebody.
Add glass, interior, and drive train and away you go on a brand new car.
Of course it sounds much easier that it actually is. There are so many little bits and bobbles that you will need that it is not a cheap build.

Oh boy. I like spending other people's money. I am doing a light restomod to my 69 mach 1 so I am pretty up on prices.
Coilover - Total Control Products makes what looks like a nice four link setup for about $3000 befor it is all said and done.
As for engines, you may have that figured out, but plan on around $10K for something decent before you are finished. My 450hp stroker is going to be closer to $15k.

i got a nice top end for a 302 sitting around so im thinking either jsut toss that on a roller short block or do a 347 not to sure but im thinking just the 302 anything over 350 is a touch much for a dd lol. do these cars have header clearance issues like the 65-66 have when they get lowered?
