Silent exhaust......don't laugh
Don't ask why, but I was wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of a high performance, silentmuffler? High flow and minimum noise is key here. Could be coupled to a turbo engine.

i thought about this the other day. i was driving around, and just wondering what it would be like to drive a quiet mustang. it would be cool to get an exaust that was quiet when idling, yet had a nice low sound when accelertating

The exhaust on my Rx7 was very quiet. It had a buzzer at around 7500 RPM to tell you to shift and it would run high 13s in the 1/4. Most people have swapped to an aftermarket exhaust so there should be found for a cheap price. 3" inlent, but I think they might be a little too large to fit under a mustang.
Also, I know where you can get a stock Mitsubishi Evo exhaust for very cheap. My brother's fiance's brother owns Road Race Engineering in LA. All of the Evo guys swap out their stock exhaust, they they have piles of these things lying around. The owner is a great guy, he even had the mechanics weld my mustang seat frame for free, so I know I can get you a great price.

I know some guys runs a glass pack in front of their regular muffler (eg 2.5 flowmaster 50 series then you put a 2.5 glass pack in front) this will reduce sound without impacting flow.
