Default Need Help Decoding Rear End Tag

I recently purchased a 70 Mustang fastback. It has been modified and I am trying to figure out exactly what I have. The first item is the rear end. The tag reads "WDZ-819EB 3L00 8 975A" The "1" after the first "8" could be an "I". I am pretty sure that it is not original because the gear ratio does not match the data plate and the vent tube is on the passenger side not the driver side. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I am not sure of all the numbers but it should be a locking rear with 3.00 gears. I am not an expert on the tags this just how I beleive it is read

+1 i found on another site:
"The ratio will be in the lower left hand part of the tag, sometimes partially obscured by the nut. 3.00 is 3.00 open, 3L00 means 3.00 posi." (trac-lock)

but if you say the ratio doesn't match, then maybe it's the wrong/old dataplate?
what did you measure as ratio? and how did you do that?

WDZ-819EB 3L00 8 975A"

I checked therestoration book I use which covers 64-73 Mustangs but a WDZ code axle is not listed.Could be from something other than a Mustang or the book could be wrong. The book does confirm the 3L00 indicates 3.00 traction lok comments already made.

Are you sure of all of the other parts of thetag data. I imagine the 9EB is the date code but normally it would be something like 9E3 (9=1969, E=April, 3=3rd or April 3rd, 1969).
