Default Grundy: Classic insurance for daily driver?

www.Grundy.com

This appears to be the only classic car insurance that will allow one to drive their classics for commute!

Agreed Value policies are available for your Daily Drivers with Grundy and AIG's Motor Vehicle Program. Yes, that’s right: you predetermine the value of your vehicle. In the event of a total loss, that amount is paid, with no deductible in most states.
Now I did a quote for my Mustang. I was a little scepticle because they did not ask me all the insurance coverage questions that all the other companies ask, but mabe that's just cause it was a quote. Anyhoo, I typed in a quote for my Mustang and here is what I got:

Vehicle Information 1966 Ford Mustang VIN:

Coverage Information Vehicle Quote Agreed Value $5000 modified Liability Rate $30 Bodily Injury/Property Damage Liability
$100000 with Comp and Collision
Comp and Collision Rate $70 Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist
Statutory Limit
Deductible $0
Med Payments (State Limit) Included Tax $1 Quotes are for annual (12 month) coverage. Your Total Quote Total Quote (Includes all cars) $101

Now, am I reading that correctly? Am I paying 101 dollars a month or a year?

Looks to me like you would be severely under insured with that policy.

My car is insured with Hagerty and the rates are awesome, I think I might pay $100 every 6 months if that. They don't consider my daily driver because I don't drive it in the winter, I don't know if you drive yours in the winter or not.

"Agreed Value $5000"

Get your car appriased before entering any type of policy like this.

1 minor fender bender and the insurance will total you out.

Quotes are for annual (12 month) coverage.
100 bucks a year for full coverage on a driver? That would be the cheapest insurance on planet earth for a daily driver. Sound like classic car rates but not driver rates.

Typical classic car insurance rates that are cheap, require the insured to prove that he has another car to use as a daily driver. Sounds odd to me. Was that an internet quote? Gotta be a catch.

USAA rates are based on 6 months.

Yes, they will quote you for any value. The higher the value, the higher policy. All values agreed upon should be supported with an independant appraisal.

Again, insuring a classic mustang at 5k agreed is SEVERELY under insured meaning that 1 relatively minor appearing accident and you will be fighting the insurance company. 5k doesn't cover a lot of repair these days and you need to remember the way insurance works...if you did 4k worth of damage to the car....they would total it. If you did 3k worth of damage chances are it would be totaled when you carry a policy for that little.

Yea, I just valued what I could sell it for. I imagined that if I insured it for ten grand it wouldn't be much more(compared to regular insurance).

Edit: $10,000 raises it to 171 a year
$15,000, 241 a year
