tire size

Default tire size

how wide of a tire can i fit on a 14X6 mag 500 for a 68 mustang and keep a nice tucked in and neat look. no worries about any particular size, just curious on how wide i can go. i like bf goodrich

well I just put some new ones on today! I have a 67 with magnum 500s I put some 225/70/ 14son the back and 215/70/14s on the front and they fit nicey and look "GOOD" lol...lol...you may be able to put 235s on the back I was going to get some 235s but I got the 225s for free so on they go!!!lol.... I would try it and see... good luck

235/60-14 is actually approved for mounting on wheels all the way down to 6" wide. But understand that 6" does not offer much lateral support for that wide of a tire, so it will distort more while cornering. That's not terribly important if you never corner very hard, but you should be aware of it. And like most "performance" 14" sizes - there just aren't very many choices any more.

www.tirerack.com has good information of tires and fitment, or atleast enough to give you a general jist of what will fit or be close...

Here's a sheet for BFGoodrich Radial T/A's. Looks like 235/60/14 is pushing it..
