It was making 477 RWHP at 10.09 AFR. I don't know any more. We lowered the boost and leaned it out. So it's probably somewhere in that area still, but making it higher, rather than at 5600. We have the fuel curve nice and flat now. It's a stock block with a stud girdle and a 349 stroker. For a 302 a base kit goes for 3750. It's complete from hat to oil lines. Just need to get the fuel system up to par and tune her up.

that it is cheap for a turbo kit. i thought i would have to pay some one to custom fab one for a 68 mustang. have you done any that were fuel injected?

Question about the turbo: how would you describe the feeling of driving it? What about the noise? Is is as fun as naturally aspired?

Sounds like a nice/cheap way to get HP but wouldn't want take less pleasure with my 67

Want to do this set up and from an sn95 i built years ago have all the left over proformance supension and if i could use it that would be sweet.

It looks like you need to revisit your spring selection. There's no way you should have it jacked all the way up on the lower seat to stack the coils like that.
What is the current spring rate?

Yep, we were sent the wrong ones. You can see the old greased threads where we had the old coils a little farther down. New stiffer ones came in and were just too short. It worked for the show we wanted to take it to. I think it ended up with 2 200/275 spring rate ?

The spindles are not the same. There is more camber built into AJE's than the stock spindle. Rack might be from a fox ? I have seen people try to avoid buying the AJE parts and use stock stuff but it takes a lot of work and modification.

The car had an A4 block put in, a larger turbo and an A/A intercooler. I'm sure 650 rwhp on pump would have been no problem. But I bought him out about a year and a half ago and we haven't talked much since. I know he put fuel injection on it but still hasn't gotten it running with it yet though. Had a baby boy and with time and life style change just hasn't spent much time on it.

Turbos are retarded fun. The noise depends on how you had it set up. If it was meant to spool really fast, to me it's annoying because any load you can hear the turbo start to spool. One of my customers sees boost about about 1900 and 9psi by about 2800. He doesn't drive it often so he loves it. Spools way to fast for me. Mine makes 22 psi by about 4700. Tires have a better change of holding. But never cheap. No matter what a kit costs, there are always the small things that will nickel and dime you to death. AN fitting for the fuel system is a big one. But over all very docile and quiet until it's time to get stupid. I still run the stock cams, stock pumps in the tank and it idles just like stock and makes 1000 hp.
