Go for the kit and install it yourself. It is a very good reproduction at a very affordable price that is not too difficult to install.

those aren't too bad if you've got a pair of hog ring pliers. takes a little practice

I purchased a pair of Procar Rally seats and had an upholstery shop make a matching rear upholstery. I paid him about $250 to make the rear but I know no one else will have one that looks like it. I figure by the time you spend the money for upholstery, foam, supplies, replace crappy looking seat hardware ............. you are at a similiar price to what I did.

That being said, if you want a stock look and don't mind doing the work then do it yourself. If you are like me and know where your limitations are or want something that is not the norm then use an upholstery shop.

I purchase new upholstery for mine. I had a local shop fix the foam and install them.

if you want it to look original buy the kit. Have a go at installing it yourself. If you're not enjoying it take it to the guy

what's the price difference anyway. If he can match or come close get him to do it regardless
