Default rear shock access

hey Jav...you're the only one here!

any idea how i get at the top mounts for my rear shocks.
i think i have to take the back seat out?

if yes...how do i get the seat out. I've given it a bit of a shake but im wary of busting something.

any idea?

You have to take fold down panels out in the fastback to the get to the shock mounts. The line up right at the edge with the back panel that always stays flat and middle panel.

thanks Nick

i found 2 screws on the back part of the floor...undid these and lifted the rear portion. There they are! I didnt have to pull out any of the seat or folding parts.

NEXT QUESTION

the rear floor was held in by 2 screws at the front. It looks like some bits are missing at the back. There are some metal brackets on the under floor with about 3/4" holes. There are 2 flimsy looking plates on the removable piece of floor.

i'm guessing theres a bit missing that fixes the 2 together at the back. Any clues?

The rear panel is 'fun'

The brackets welded to the floor are L shaped and have a large round hole in them.
On the panel there are two thin metal peices with a small hole in them.

When you install it, you have to angle it up so you can push the thin flimsy metal peices under the L brackets. Then a simple screw does through the top of the panel through the hole in the L bracket, finds the screw hole in the flimsy peices and tightens it all together.

ok, thats pretty much what i was hoping!

is there supposed to be any rubber or bushing on the back between the flimsy plate and the big one with the hole in it?

I never paid enough attention to the screws...I assume they are the same.

Good luck finding the wrench, telescoping magnet should work...my cars have eaten many a tool and never returned them.
