starter relay wires,..pics,..where do they go?
guys first let me say sorry for all the stupid questoins and threads,..but i dont know these cars and i am trying to learn and everyone here has been such a great help...
the red and yellow wire on the left side go to the battery side of the relay ...correct?
and the black with yellow wire on the ride side of the pic,..that is the convertible top wire i believe,..so that go starter side?

whatever you connect to the starterside will get + once you turn the key into start position.
So if you want your powertop to only work when you start your car, then yes. Go ahead and connect it to starter side :-]

See it like that:
The left side where biug cable from battery is coneected: whatever you connect there has constant 12V+. it's the _exact_ same as connecting to battery+ port directly.
Then you have the starter side of the relay, which goes to the starter. This get's 12V+ from the battery side once the "s" port of the relay get's powered from the ignition key in 'start' position
doies that make sense?
