What would this one be worth? Assuming it has matching numbers and the radio has been replaced with a Kenwood.

The guy only wants $2,300 for the car. I sent him an e-mail wanting more information about the car.

Here is what he said was done and I believe every word:

"It has power steering and a nice Kenwood CD player. It has been very well taken cared of and needs nothing! Just take it to the car show or cruise it as soon as you get it!Original 289 engine was rebuilt professionally and has less than 15,000 miles on it. Work completed 11/2002The interior was completely redone in beautiful original Ford Pony interior. The seats were rebuilt with new foam, carpet and door panels replaced, instrument bezels replaced, dash pad replaced, headliner and kick panels as well. The interior alone was a $2300 job. The only seat that has even been sat in is the drivers to get the car home and cruised a few times. Work was completed 5/2004The car has a brand new five stage paint job(base, black 1st coat, black second coat, white 1 st coat, white second coat, clear 1st coat, clear second) that was $3000. Paint was completed 04/2004 Brakes were just rebuilt( shoes, booster, master cylinder) 6/2004. New water pump 7/2003.New dual exhaust installed 11/2002 Brand new 15" rims and tires installed 6/2004 they were $1000 and look beautiful Radiator was recored 7/2004 This car has beautiful chrome throughout and no rust anywhere. All floorboards, frame rails , etc are solid. This is a sweet car. "

After seeing this information, what do you think now?

Then steal it at that price.

If you don't take it, I'll sell a kidney and be there to pick it up this Thursday.

If he's really asking $2,300 and not $23,000, I'd go over that car (better yet spend a few bucks and pay a classic car expert) with a fine tooth comb. He's listing $5,300 in parts, why would he sell so cheap? There was a post a few days ago about someone who purchased a similar car and found out that even though it looked beautiful, in fact it could never be road worthy again.

Yeah, something is wrong here. I'd be leary of it. It is either as rust bucket that looks good, or the price is misquoted.

Be Very, Very careful if the price is $2,300.00, it's worth alot more. Seller is either stupid, or a crook at that price !!!!!!
