Iv gotten the typical thumbs up, generic complements. Had one guy shake my hand and a biker chick drive up next to me shout out "nice car" over the sound of her and my engine. Also gotten the "wanna trade cars" comment. I didnt respond but wish I had a witty comment like waffles.

i always hear my dad telling stories about people staring and talking to him about his car...but when i drive it or mine i NEVEr have people do that to me. i think its cause im a kid and people think im a jerk or dick. im kinda sad that no one even ackowledges that i drive a 66 stang.

i turned into the local kroger parking lot to turn around... some kids in a ford escort were following along with me acting like they wanted to race... im watching them and laughing at them... they keep looking at me next thing you know they werent paying attention and plowed right into a $70,000 dollar caddy...I go idling by them... flipped them off and said haha i won ********!
they didnt look too enthused as did the owner of the caddy.

What you going to do, comes with the privilege of owning a classic....The most is at the gas station, people tripping over them selves to get to my car before I'm done getting gas. The best one was of a guy that ran off the road looking atthe car in the drive way, no one hurt but his pride...

I have gotten pretty much all the above in the 67 and 69, I love the ones that turn into stories of their old times with there mustang, you can just see them reminiscing. But my favorites are the civic, celica, etc drivers they check it out and rev those beastly 4's...

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. This summer I was driving along and I noticed a Fox body coming the other way, the girl in it was staring so hard at my car that she had to slam on her brakes so she didn't hit the car in front of her.

I enjoy people enjoying my car. I do the same thing when I see a nice car. I drove nextto a brand new Shelby Convert tonight. I couldn't stop staring at it.

9 out of 10 peoplethat come up to me tell me they or a relative had a old Mustang.

Get used to it. When you drive the greatest car ever made people are going to stare.
