Default Upgrade Carb For Six Cyl

I have a 1965 Convertable with a 200 Six Cyl. The carb is a 1BBl, I guess the 1100 model. I want to start increasing power one step at a time, so, I would like to start with a 2bbl carb. I understand that it a pretty easy switch, but, I do not know the type of 2bbl carb I need. Can someone guild me as to the carb type, spacer, and any other parts that I need for the switch. thank you.

If you are going to start upgrading your six cylinder systematically for more performance. You need to do your homework first. Read/Read/Read!! The first thing you should do is go to fordsix.com, the store at this site(fordsixparts.com) will have just about anything you need. But first buy the book "The Ford Falcon Six Cylinder Performance Handbook"(our bible) I just read a post yesterday about a company that has developed a new or rebuilt1100 carb they have designed that really performs. That's Ponycarbs.com Good luck and start your homework.
