I remember this being discussed. The slight bow in (about 1/2 inch) is supposed to be there, right?

mine also had alot of bondo around the gas cap too. but my trunk lid matches to contour of the back panel.

yes they came that way but some have more of a bow! and some may have less of a bow!

personally, i think you should pound the hell out of it from the back wth a hammer. not to fix the bow, but just because your car seems so pretty, i think you need to step it down a notch.

Took this picture tonight. Big enough notch? The pictures from when I first got it are pictures of a basically sound car, combined with a lot of aluminum, strap steel, rivets, bondo, and touch up paint. The aluminum, strap steel, and rivets are now gone - replaced by actual formed body panel patches, and the paint and primeris about to get covered up with new paint.

Looking good! I remember when I took my rear bumper off and noticed a bow. Until I found out it was supposed to be there I figured it was tapped from behind or pushed by another car sometime in the past.

my 69 had a bow in it, but it was a little more on the passenger side than the driver. The body shop said it could have been rear ended or something, but in any case they removed the bow with a slide hammer and now it is not there at all from what I've noticed.

I say fix it if you can Looks good though

The previous owner of mine didn't like the bow so he removed it...with a telephone pole.



I think it still doesn't have a bow.
