no probs...couldn't pass up the opportunity. I like the look of either welded panels on the vents or plexiglass windows like the some of the Shelby's had...not sure if it was the 65 or 66 that had them. I'll cross that bridge when the time comes.

It was only '66 Shelbys that had the plexiglass panels. The 65 R model had no louvers, no plexiglass, but instead used loosely installed panels to cover the opening.

Blasting cost depends on where you are located. I'm getting quotes between $1700-$3000 here in SoCal for soda and oxide on the rough bits.

I sand blasted mine in my two car garage. you should be able to get it done for around 500. You can ask them to make sure they know how to blast a car.
