rear russel braided brake line set up

guess, ill let the cat out of the bag,...18x8 rears and 17x8 fronts,...mmmmmm

some test fit,...

dropping them off to the powder coater this week,..this is what they are getting,..satin black

to keep the whole black theme going,...i have a ton more pics to post up,..will edit them later today

ok so got the tires mounted today,..225/45/17 up front and 235/40/18 in the rear, and they match up perfectly,..the rears are about a 1/4 inch wider, but the thiickness of the tires look identical...which is what i wanted,...

suspension, negative wedge kit with upper arm drop, 620 coils up front,...and reverse eye 5 leafs in the rear,...and the car is still WAY TO HIGH for my liking,...for those of you that said 18s are way to big, there is TONS OF ROOM,...

i will have to end up getting lowering blocks for the rear and cutting the springs up front, which i hate to do, but i dont know how to lower it anymore,...

brakes are now mounted and lines are hooked up, just have to bleed them all,...mmmmmm i wonder what disk brakes are going to feel like,..i went for a ride in a 67 with 4 wheel drums, they had all just been rebuilt, and it was terrible, i would really never drive a car like that,..im sorry, but i didnt think the car would ever stop,...and it was making in upwards of 350hp,..not to safe if you ask me,...

You might want to drive it for a month or so before cutting/blocking.
Very good advice.

The suspension will settle... not enough for your liking, but it will settle some. Something else to consider... your front tires are over an inch smaller in diameter than a stock tire/wheel.

front diameter is 25 and rear is 25.6,...this was the closest to the stock diameter i got from some online tire thingy,..is this not correct?

Hi,
I have a65 vert and have been doing a lot of looking at tire sizes as I am getting new wheels and tires. Imight be wrong but I found the factory tire on a 66 was a 185/75-14. That would be a 24.9 dia.

A stock 195/75/15 tire measures 25.5" in diameter. As these tires were anemically small, most owners jumped to a 205/70/15 with the styled steel wheels to help fill the wheelwells. 205/70/15 measures 26.29"

Your front tires are smaller than a stock Mustang tire.

Rather than have chrome or powder coated lug nuts, have you seen these lugnut covers that TeamIIImakes/sells?
