My mustang nearing paint

Man that is going to look awesome! I wanted to go black on my 69 originally but my brother's ShelbyGT is black with silver stripes and he was pushing me to do something a bit brighter since it will probably be parked next to his car at every show we go to.
Having said that I'm now thinking something like a black cherry would look great on my car. No stripes or anything like that.
Just a lot of free time to keep it clean.
Beautiful car can't wait to see the finished product.

I think most paint guys prefer to paint it this way, mainly because it is easier to get a better quality job painting the doors, trunklid, and hood off the car. Paint the jambs and the underside of all the removed items. Then re-attach everything and paint the entire car. It does make for a cleaner job too.

By the way, hats off to you on you car and all the troubles you made it through. I keep thinking, this will be worth it someday.

Love the hood and whole package. My favorite little detail about the 67/68 FBs is the little ridge above the back window on the roof. I love how such a small feature ties the whole car together with the ridge on the trunk.
