you have coil over suspension and cut out the shock towers? itll be a lot of fabricating and cutting. the tranny hump will need to be cut and raised to fit the tranny properly. theres a few members on here that have done those swaps and thay can give you the finer details. good luck and welcome!

I think he means that he already swapped in 60s V8 suspension components, and he intends to use this 4.6 as an engine.

Sell the 4.6 and get a fox body efi 302 its a lot easier to put in gets about the same gas mileage with out all the headaches.

The 4.6 mod motor is roughly 30% wider. Serious chassis modifications are necessary to expedite the swap, it's not a "bolt-in" by any stretch of the imagination. It can be done, but it'll take some time, a lot of patience and a lot of money. Unless you're commited to this swap, I'd consider all aspects very carefully.

andrew's right. try to sell or trade for a 302 setup. fits right in and eliminates some MAJOR headaches!! (better motor too....remember the recall of the 98 cobras because all the old 5.0's were whooping their ***!!!!)

I wouldn't go so far as to say that.

ohc is far superior to push rod.

if you want to argue the mechanics go read a book and come back.

is pushrod cheaper? probably.

smarter tech? no.

Did you intend your reply for me? I agree with you completely. The technology of the mod motors beat a conventional engine hands down.
