I would keep the stang also, i like them better, but i guess it always comes down to who owns the car, you or your dad? If he does get it then make sure he doesn't turn into the old, chest-hair and gold chain guy that always give corvettes a bad name.

There are a lot of the Corvettes that I really like, old and new, but I just can't get over the "old man" thing... It kills me...

i know exactly what everyone means when they say the "old man thing" I went to a big vette show in Eureka Spring AK one year and my friend and I were the youngest ones there pretty much, next to everyone's grandkids

lol my friend used to have a 77 vette.. They are a disgrace to the corvette name. They only have about 170hp because they are all bogged down with the early emissions equipment. Tell him to atleast get a 75 or go with a later model c4. Not much faster but It's nice to work on an engine that only has 3-4 hoses rather than 15. Unless you register it for offroad use or a smog exempt county, you will have to reverse everything you do to smog it.

The 78 Vette has the same interior door handles as the Caprice. If you let your hair bush out and get a few pasley shirts you can look like Johnny Holmes when you drive!

when i got my stang about 4 years ago, the guys wife sold it to me without consulting him because they were splitting up or something and she was mad at him. she gave me boxes of stuff and reduced the price from $4500 to $3500. i remember her daughter followed us on our way home for 5 minutes because she loved the car and never got to drive it much. i can understand your situation sucks.
