1939 Ford Front Suspension!
Ok so it's not a Mustang, but it is a Ford, so I am going to try and sneak a little of my next project in here and there!
I have had this car since I was 14. It was in pretty rough shape then. Over much of my youth I "fixed this car up", drove it a little here and there, but mostly stored it.
Anyway, I am at the point where I want to do the car right.
I had wanted to go with an I-Beam front suspension (modified stock) because I think they look cool....
I went shopping for a frame, and they were advertising this really cool "Sweet Ryde" Corvette C-4 based suspension setup. So I thought, wow, I want one.... but then the shop says that it won't fit with my setup, 2 1/2" too wide,,,,,
But, a Mustang II setup they sell will work....
So, here I am, dammit,,,,, I really did not want a M II based setup, I am thinking that if I have to settle, then I will probably want to go with the I beam,,, ****...
Any opinions??? (if anyone even cares!! )
