It can get a little hot with the sun directly over you, but there is a sun shade.

When you pull the shade it instantly cools of in there.

( 8k for the GTO? ) Is that an offer or are you wondering what we paid for it?
It is my wifes car. We just got it last month.

She was doing some research on the vin after she got it and found the vin on a list of 1969 GTO Judges. I told her to order in the history on the car so we know for sure. If it is a Judge it is a late year, rare marroon Judge. It is orange now, but was originally maroon. Most '69 Judges were carousel red.

There have been a number of TSB's out against the S197's, but I think that they've caught most of them in production. I had a hard copy of one of them shipped to me when I ordered the FSM (on CD-ROM, from Helminc.com IIRC).

Apparently plug changes with the early design spark plugs is a real bear. Supposedly that got fixed somewhere during the 2008 model year run, but I haven't pulled any on my 2008 (built during February of this year) yet.

There is some discussion over in the 2005 - 2008 section about some of these, once you get past the threads about making the exhaust louder or lowering the car for appearance reasons.

Yeah, I noticed over there every one wants to lower them add exhaust and change everything on them. I got the premium GT so I didn't have to change everything.

Nice. I was actually thinking of replacing my 2005 (V6 auto) with a 2009 before they change body styles in 2010, but the 05 has been so good I don't want to part with it. Three years and zero repairs, except for one minor recall to reprogram the passenger side airbag.
Do I see the front of a 69 hiding in one of those pictures?

I don't see wholesale changes being made to my '08 either (also a GT Premium, with a couple of options that meant I had to special-order it). I did get the (dealer-installed) FRPP cold air & tune, but having to run 91 or higher octane doesn't make it any different from any of my other cars. I see a set of Konis in the car's future (been talking with Sam Strano, whom I know personally), and I'd like to add the GT500 wheels and 255/45's. Tried to get the dealer to order my car with the bigger wheels/tires, but that didn't fly. If the car ever becomes the primary auto-X weapon or a track toy, then I'll probably do a little more, and by then I'll have a better idea precisely what. But not unless and until. They really are nice cars right off the dealer's lot and have stayed about as true to the original concept as you can get any more.

honeygoldcoupe;

Yes that is a '69 Mustang Grande lurking around the corner. That was my first classic. It would be a sweet car right now if not for the '73 Sportroof I bought a year later. I haven't done anything with it since then.

Some day she will ride again.
