Thanks for the info ,as usual your insight helps us (rookies) tremendously on 1st generation mustangs , my '68 fastback is older than me but i learn something new every day about it and it's all good!!

Love the link, but already noticed a mistake about the 71-73 grilles. In 71-72, bases and coupes had a chrome grill with the corral, Mach 1s got a black grille with horizontal driving lights and the small horse on the tribar. In 73 because of the federal crash safety laws, they had to add shock absortion to the front bumper, so the grille was cahnged. Im not sure about the base and coupes, but the Mach 1s got the driving lights moved to vertical. Just my $0.02 Gotta represent my model lol
