Default 69 Clear Headlight Covers

Alright, here's my next thread filled with questions: Does anybody now if a company makes clear covers for the outer healight bezels for 69 mustangs? I am totally into the "restomod" look for classic mustangs, and actually these would serve a pretty functional service with the wind turbulence/aerodynamics of the front end. I have seen this done before, but it has never been more than a poorly done job with what looks like sheet plexiglass with screws. However, even the ones done poorly make you think "Man, imagine how cool that'd look if it was a little bit more molded and if it fit properly..." I have also seen that crazy-cool project where they put new model mustang, '05 and later, whole headlights into I think a '67 or '68. I would post the picture I have of a 69 with clear covers, but I don't know how to post pictures(Can you guys help me out?). So if anyone knows anything, ex where to find OR how to make please share your knowlegde.

I'd love to see that pic sounds interesting, uploaded it to photobucket.com and then copy and paste the link or the IMG tag

or you could use the forums upload feature, but to find that hit new reply instead of using the quick reply.

but photobucket is easier

This is the only picture I have, and like I said before you can tell it wasn't done extremely well.

Ok so I know that this pic is would not work, but it made me think instantly of this thread. I have never seen headlight covers on a stang before and I think they look awesome. These headlight covers are off a custom 500 someone was restoring and thought they may be made to fit? More work than they are worth I am sure though. Here is the link.

Seems like a relatively simple process for someone who knows how to fiberglass. You could take the front headlight fender extension piece and make a mold of it, take your piece of lexan or poly that's been cut to the proper shape and fix it to the mold and glass over it. Obviously it might take a while to smooth everything out, and move from a prototype to a finished piece possibly with a removable cover, but I could see it being possible to do this.

I thought about doing that to my 67 last year, but never did.

I was visualizing how I would go about making such covers: they must be removeable to change the lamps, don't want ugly hardware (screws, mounts...) to be visible, and it must be water tight for those wet days. I want to do this pretty badly because it seems manageable, but if poorly done it would be horse s**t. Maybe I could find some transparent plastic blocks that I could drill and shape for mounting.... (is it plexiglass or lexan...) and use some type of hose as a seal to go around the edge of the covers...?
