Default 69/70 Mustang Rear Spoiler Installation

Does anyone have installation instructions for installing the rear spoiler on a 69/70 mustang?

I want to ensure that I install the rear spoiler with the correct dimensions and spacing from the rear and sides of the trunk lid.

Thanks in advance.

I will be home tonight from my honeymoon around 11. Theres an auction at the storage unit where my car is at tomorrow afternoon, and I'll take some measuremeants off my 70 then. It came from the factory with a spoiler, so I know it is accurately mounted.

Again, I'll provide you everything I can if you can be patient enough to wait a day.

If you want it "perfect" wait for waffles to get your dimensions, but if you have the brackets that bolt inside the trunk lid to the hinge rods you can bolt them on and then use them for a guide to drill through the trunk lid. From what ive read thats how they did it at the factory

Hope this helps

OK.

Jeffs way is correct on how it was done but the measurements are as follows.

From the outsides of the trunk lid to the outsides of the base, not the seal, the base of the posts for the wing, it is 2 7/8" from the outside to the outside of the base.

And each post s set back 7 3/4" from the FRONT of the trunk lid, ie front of the car. I'll make a photoshop picture to illustrate ths once I get back home, but I don't have time right now. Hope it helps some.
