Default New House in N. Houston

Well I signed my contract Friday and the house should be mine sometimes next week or soon. I bought a 3000 ft2 house with a 3 car garage and a huge carport. Wiill be adding a car lift and a media blasting booth real soon. After my wife changes things first. Even have a wet bar built in on the ground floor and in the game room upstairs where there is a room that is big enough for a very large screen TV, speakers and of course lounge chairs to watch the games and my car shows. Life is so good. All of you guys that live in the area get ready for a hell of a house party soon enough. But you have to drive at least one vintage vehicle of any make to the house so that I can make my neighbors go, oh shat. LOL

Where did you end up Ed?

Last I knew I thought you were looking out in the Magnolia area?

Nope. Just north of FM 1960 and south of the woodlands. Terranova West. Giant house and giant trees on large lot. I cannot wait to finish all of my projects finally.

Oooh pimp I see you have lots of toys. Niccccce. I would love a ride in that challenger. I remember my HS days in my 72 roadrunner. I think my next toy will be a 69 Firebird.

That is one of my all time favorite cars, really any old Firebird / TA / Camaro. If you land one of those your gonna have to let me come see it sometime. If I could get a day off I would be more than happy to come help you turn wrenches on that one.

I started out looking for older TA's and just missed getting a really nice '78 and then I found the '66 Coupe to buy instead.

The problem with older Firebirds is they either seemed to be pretty expensive or in really sorry shape. The older Camaro seemed to be even more expensive.

I know the exact area you are talking about. When I first got out of school I worked for a very small firm that was just off Vet's Memorial...actually on that side of 1960 I think it changes from Vet's Memorial to another name but the firm was between 1960 and Louetta right by the big Baptist church that is along there somewhere. I rented an upstairs room off my step brother and his wife for a while that was right in that area for a while then I got married and moved into town off Westheimer.

You bet because you know that the first pictures I took of the house when we went thru it was of the garage. The next was the upstairs game room with the wet bar in the corner. Built in wet bar that has it own doors. I measured the wet bar cabinet and its big enough to enclose a 46" LCD TV. You know, the old push a button on the remote and the cabinet doors open as the tv slides out and the lights dim down and the TV lights up with a prerecorded episode of Overhaulin or other favorite car show. I cannot wait. My wife even said yes to the lift in the garage as long as its a 4 poster instead of the 2 poster. Damn you have to love a woman like that. LOL
