Nice video. Glad your motor is squared away.

One question.

Why was it recorded in slo-mo?

reattached my avatar. i was feeling a little nude without it.

in answer to the questions, it cost about $5k to get all the problems sorted. about $3k of that on the engine. That really hurt. I had to sell my fairlane to pay for it all an the a$$holes that caused all the damage have not assisted.

slo-mo? not sure Oxnard. Its a fairly slow track and i was taking it pretty easy after all the problems. around the back where the camera guy wasnt keeping up i was probably doing around 115. In race trim with the brakes working that'll probably up to 125 - 130 max before i run out of room. I'm expecting lap times around 1min 21. As a comparison, Carerra Cup cars range in the 1min 12s for the serious (aka sponsored) guys to 1.20 for the amatuers like me.

the shaker is factory standard on the real version of that car. Mine car is a low grade replica but with enough grunt to seriously hose the original!

we have only done running in on the dyno so far, no real tuning runs. at 3700 she was making 327hp at the wheels. that's as far as we got because there was too much wheelspin once the cam kicked in. I'm not sure where it will end up. Even rev limited to 6500 at the moment and with the "smaller" 750HP holley it is too much for the tyres i am allowed to run.

cheers guys
hope to be back more often
