Talking My first mustang!!

I just bought it today. It a '65 w/ a straight 6. Everythings there it just needs restored. There are a few dime size rust spots on the back floorboard on the drivers side, but that the only place that I could tell they went all the way through. There's more rust on other places but I don't think they are too bad (not for $600 anyways ; ) I even was able to talk him down $100 from $700 so I think I got a pretty good deal. I think what I am going to do about the engine is get the one in running & try to save up for a 351W to drop in it, or maybe a 289 it depends. If anyone has any suggestions on which engine would be better or if they know of any "special" secrets for rust or other thing, I would appreciate any tips. Thanks from a proud mustang owner. I call it my "new-old car". Also, I've heard of people naming their cars but I never can think of any good names if anyone has any suggestions about that I'd also appreciate that as well.

Upload them to www.photobucket.com Then post the link here. Congrats! Converting to an 8 cyl is fairly expensive as you have to replace the entire drive train, but for $600 you are WAY ahead of the curve.

6 cyls are cool too. Congrats!

Nice!

That car would look sweet if you mask it off and do a quick and dirty primer paint job. It would tie it all together. It looks like it is about ten different colors right now. (see my car below, nothing like primer and a $10 spray can Shelby stripe to make a car look ghetto sharp)

Congrats.
