Default Take a shot... for the fun of it.

Ok, so tomorrow, weather permitting, and car permitting, I'm going to take it to the track. A local group is having a track day for 80 cars, I'm on the list. When it runs, it runs beautiful. Just had a few parts mishaps that have set me back... well really only the starter and flywheel. But the new ones work like a dream together.

So what's your guess on what I'll run.

It's a 351W up to a 358.
Cam is at a max lift of .493/ .500 on a 110LSA
1.6 adjustable rollers
Edelbrock performer
Holley 600
Complete MSD system. It's the 6A w/ blaster
Hooker LT's into 2.5's all the way back
3spd manual
Stock 8" :/ not sure of gearing... need to get my 9" done

What kind of track? I hope its 1/4 mile if you have no suspension mods. Twisties would be a challenge.

it's a 1/4 mile... I'm an average driver. Been about a year and a half since I've driven down the quarter. Also, this will be my first time taking this car down the track ever.

14.50to15.00 street tires 3speed and gears open rear but those bad things fixed could knock 1.5 off 1st 60ft are time killer if it dont hook.leaves lots of room for improvment

It's going to be prepped track. I'm not planning on launching, but 14.5 sounds slow. I used to run high 13's in a Camaro, but this thing is def. faster than that car. I've talked to a few guys that say I should be in the 13's, that stuff fixed, 12's. ( 9" with better gears, and different tranny)

Oh, and not saying your wrong. Just not what I was expecting. I was thinking I could at least hit 13's.

dude here (the one in my videos at the track) runs 12.8's with his 351 / c4 and stock 9" with the original 3.23 or whatever rear. has no ***** for top end though. also runs on slicks with sub frames, traction bars and 60/40 90/10 shocks/struts

Im gonna say mid 14's or higher.Traction will be your biggest problem with a stick.Get a little excited, dump the clutch and the FIRST pass will be a mid 15 or worse.

High 14's.... 14.92 is my guess. One wheel peel then the 3spd is going to slow you down.
