The Mustang Depot Stroker Kit?
Has anyone here ever used any of The Mustang Depot's stroker kits? I saw a post where someone complained about some body parts bought from this outfit, but I wonder if their stroker kits and balance service has a good reputation?
Thanks for sharing your experience.

eh, the body stuff anyone can complain about from any company. But you may be confusing "Mustang Depot" with "The Mustang Depot." TMD sells the stroker kits. Never heard a complaint about them. But even with extremely expensive kits, the QC can be off. I would probably steer clear of a kit that was cheap if you wanted some real HP in a good block. But if you are looking to stroke for trq, but in a stock block, around or under 500hp, it would just fine.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I will be building it for low speed torque and it will only rarely see more than 4000 RPM. This will be an engine to haul around a 3700 pound Galaxie with a 3 speed transmission and something on the order of 3.25 gears, maybe even 3.00.
I am intentionally building for torque and ignoring horsepower to make it fun to drive.
Thanks for the Galaxie help from a Mustang forum. The Galaxie forums just have no small engine discussion WHATSOEVER.

Which full size forums are you talking about? I very well may not have been on the ones you are talking about.
On the Galaxie forums that I've been on, you can find out to whatever detail you wish regarding an FE engine torque monster, but little or nothing about the small engines. For most people, it takes more than a 289 to move a Galaxie down the road.

Yes I understand. In the seventies I had a 66 Mustang with a 200 and a 3 speed. I had headers and dual exhaust, pocket ported the head, a little bit of cam and an oversize carburetor. I had to open the hood quite a few times to prove to folks that it was a six.
