Default intake thermostat issue

I have a 8011 weiand 4bl intake on my 65 289. I got a chrome thermostat housing for it but the bolts don't line up. They are off by just inches. Do I have to order the housing to match the intake? cause the housing i got was for a 289.

Thanks

i have the same intake and i just bought a housing from MU and it fit fine (the one with the O-rings, works great), are you sure you got the right one?

IMHO... I would trash that chrome water neck and get an OEM one. I've never seen one of those cheap Taiwan chrome jobs that didn't leak over time.
